More of Emma Stone’s Zombieland Style
Wow, a couple of weeks later and I'm still thinking about Emma Stone's awesome Zombieland outfit. I found another movie still and I'm putting yet another costume together. The overwhelming popularity of my original post on her outfit inspired me to add even more affordable pieces to mimic Wichita's style. This movie photo is even cooler because it features her black fingerless gloves. There are also more suggestions for her jeans and moto jacket, too.

Spend/Thrift: Fall Florals
Men and women across the country are dusting off their cardigans. I try to buy at least one each fall (more like 10, actually) and this season, I'm thinking a fall floral print will make a nice addition. This cashmere, deep purple-grey print is ideal, but the price is not at $545. Click and buy if it fits your price range:
But I'm looking more toward Forever 21's very similar sweater ($22.80). It's not cashmere but, but a $500+ residual, I'm willing to make the sacrifice:
Spotlight on Blu Bijoux
I have a weakness for all types of accessories: bags, hair pins, shoes, belts, jewelry. I tend to buy a lot of them every season which generally makes my more basic wardrobe staples go further. One brand I recently became acquainted with is Blu Bijoux which is available for purchase at Max and Chloe. The brand is comprised of statement pieces at affordable price points, generally under $75. I've been eyeing a few of their rings seeing as the holidays are approaching and cocktail rings are my signature accessories. You can browse and buy from my favorites here:

Steal from a baby! I mean, borrow their shampoo...
This past weekend, I had my yearly checkup with my optometrist who recommended that I use baby shampoo as an eye makeup remover. Since I am a contact lens wearer, my eyes are super sensitive to the chemicals found in traditional eye makeup remover formulas. She told me that since baby shampoo is gentle and tearless, it would be relief for me to use, instead of suffering my usual puffiness/irritation.
I bought baby shampoo that night and now a few days later, I'm already touting its benefits: not only is it painless on the eyes but it's also cheaper than bottled eye makeup remover. It cost me $3.99 (on sale!) for about 15 fl-oz. versus my drugstore eye makeup solution which was around $6 for about 5 fl-oz.
If jacking shampoo from your child/niece/nephew/little sibling/grandchild is of interest, read on...
To use baby shampoo as an eye makeup remover, simply put a tiny drop on a cotton ball. Wet it and then gently rub on your CLOSED lid to remove cosmetics. Then, rinse the area. Repeat with a brand new cotton ball on the other eye. [Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, and everyone's body is different. Please ask your eye doctor if he/she recommends this as a part of your routine.]
And for those who are stickin' to using eye makeup remover or those who are looking to try baby shampoo, might I suggest:
